Hello blender users

There are so many great artist on this forum. For someone like myself who is new to all this i am very impressed. I've been using blender for about 2 days just a noob. But i want to learn so i can get good at modeling. My Idea is a teamspeak or ventrilo server for the members of this forum. Maybe have basic channels Basic ,mid, advance. Mods that have time can just kinda hang out & help when they can. I know this could sound like a drag to advanced users. But who knows i like helping people. Just an Idea. :!:

Not a bad plan. Let me guess, World of Warcraft fan? I've got Horde and Alliance alts on Misha and Perenolde myself. Do you have skype? My skype name is "Thanetasha" (my lvl 70 warlock's name). I often use Blender for commercial projects during the day and I like teaching people. Send me a skype some time. I'd love to chat.
Maybe we could have people allot time to answer questions via chat or ventrillo or skype calls or whatev. Perhaps the forum should have a schedule and a sign-up sheet for this.
Peace!

Adding chat capability for us would be great. Anyone know any mods for phpbb3? Or should I start a separate chat area? or hang out at an irc channel?

I forget the name of it but there is free open source software that would allow you to set up an IM server. About 2 years ago I did some test with it with my brother in law. So basically if Ira installs that software on his computer. We then all set up an account on it. And then use an IM client to sign in.

I think it was called Ejabberd.
