Why is this so?

Postby hookthreader » Sun Mar 14, 2010 7:47 pm

OK, I have all my parts made and I think I am ready to animate. I set up a camera to follow a path around my Hook Threader as per Ira's Tutorial 2.49b positioning a camera. I have the camera tracking an Empty. One problem. For some reason one of the parts does a somersault and drops as well, while all the other parts remain positioned as they should. Any insights and or fixes would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure, why don't you post the file and we'll take a look at it?

OK, I worked it out. I have just begun playing with IPO and I must have attached some animation to the part that was moving when it shouldn't have. I selected all the wavy lines in the IPO window when the part was selected and erased them all. Redid my camera fly around and all looks great. Now the fun begins I guess. I will now work on the BIG PICTURE, the parts animation. This is how I envisage the scene. Scene begins with view of HT from magnet side, hook comes into place "middle groove and attaches to the magnet, rotate all 180 deg to view cone side, line enters cone, rotate 180 deg to witness line passing through hook eye, upper hinged arm raises to allow threaded hook to come away, upper arm closes, unit does 360 deg rotation and loop the animation. Forgive my ignorance. How do i go about posting a file?
Many Thanks
