Should we ban "trialware" posts?

Postby irakrakow » Wed Mar 03, 2010 7:35 am

I hate it when something is advertised as "free" but it's really only a very limited trial or it's bait for having to pay a lot of money for the functioning version. I saw the flags about CCleaner and 3DMark and I agree that these posts are misleading as to it being free. How should we handle these sorts of posts? Should I delete them? Should I let them remain with the comments and warnings about the posts being misleading and dangerously close to advertisements?

I look forward to your comments.

well those links should be deleted if there are not posted with some sort of warning that this is a trail. Other wise it's miss leading. Any products ofter to this forum should be under the responsibility of the person who made the post.

So if some software is found to be trail, even if the user didn't know then they should be warned...

Ira Krakow Blender 3D 7 was my idea.. ( making fun of the Windows 7 idiots on those commercials ).

I use CCleaner it is quite useful, and it is free to download and use.
