I added a Google SketchUp section to the Forum. I just started playing around with Google SketchUp and I was impressed by how easy it is to create architectural models in it. Granted, it's not as fully featured as Blender, but for creating rough (and some are not so rough) models it's not so bad! Also, it is possible to import SketchUp models into Blender. Finally, since Google SketchUp was designed for creating models in Google Earth, the models can be imported into Blender. There's definitely some cleaning up to do in Blender with an imported model if you want to use it in Blender. If you need pre-built objects, the Google Sketchup Database has thousands of them, in just about every conceivable category.
So I see quite a bit of potential in including Google SketchUp in the 3D modeling workflow.
